Little Lexi Mae,Derian House and the Bolton 10K

Sunday 26th April 2015

Well what a 10K that was, they call it undulating i call it hilly, haha, but i completed it in a extremely respectable Chip time of 53.46,Thank you to Sean Fazackerley for taking part with me and giving me that final push at the end,and thanks to my dad and Auntie Gill, and Cousins Sam and Tina and our Sophie for coming to give us both a bit of cheering,it was all great and helped massively,it was a lovely morning, perfect weather for running, and its definately one i would love to do again

but as for the reason i took part in this particular 10K,The Reason i chose to run for Derian House was around December last year i was formulating this plan of running 3 10K's for 3 different charities during 2015 so i was actively thinking of charities to run for for each of the races,so after i had decided to run Wigan 10K for Joesph's Goal and got a place in the Great Manchester Run courtesy of Alzheimer's Research UK,it left me with Bolton 10K looking for a charity to support, around that time my dad's friend and his wife had a little girl called Lexi-Mae,who was diagnosed with Edwards Syndrome a rare genetic disorder where one in every 10 babies with the condition reach beyond the age of one(the vast majority don't make it beyond three months so shes already defying the odds, the sad part is that the chances of her reaching young adulthood is very rare,so they were told to go home and make memories with her)and they were raising funds for yourselves,so i said i would run for Derian House late last year and announced my plans for the year ahead on Facebook on New Years Day.

Anyone who still would like to donate for this can happily do so by clicking here to go to my Just Giving Page
